Tamil Christian Devotion on Psalm 118:14 by Pastor Job / En Belan, En Geetham, En Ratchipu

In today's Christian Devotion we find that the Psalmist here talks about how God has been his strength and how he ascribes his victory to its real source. He didn't boast about how much courage he had and how skillful he was with the challenges that he faced but rather he declared that God was his salvation and He saved him. God is the author and the giver of strength to us. No matter what we face in live, God will bring victory to us and God should be the subject of our praise always. We all face challenges and difficulties and we need to remember that God is our strength. Most times facing life's challenges and difficulties by our own strength would remind us that we are not strong enough, especially when the challenges and difficulties go on for sometime, our strength is limited. We need to learn to draw strength from God through His word and His presence, because God is our strength giver. May it be that in our daily lives that we learn to sing praises about...

Christian Devotion On Psalm 119:2 by Pastor Job / Keep & Seek

Image
In today's christian devotion we find that the Psalmist talks about keeping God's commandments and seeking Him with all our hearts. As followers of Jesus Christ, the word of God is our manual for life. It helps us to live life according to the way God wants us to live. God has also revealed His will in his word, as we are obedient to His word, we are doing His will. The word "keep" reminds us that everyday is a new opportunity for us to follow and be obedient to God's word. Sometimes in our Christian life, we shouldn't be so caught up in following God's word that our hearts are far away from God. Just like in the times of New Testament, the Pharisees were so caught up technically in following God's commandment that they missed the Son of God, the messiah right in front of their eyes. Our hearts matter to God and if we seek Him wholeheartedly we will find Him. Today is your heart after God, are seeking Him and Keeping His commandments in your li...

"He will not let your foot slip" Here we find that the Psalmist talks about how God protects His children until to the fact that He doesn't allow their foot to slip. The Canaan land was a very mountainous land therefore whenever the people traveled there they needed to be very careful. A slip would mean harm and bring danger to them so that place each step very carefully. I believe in the same way in life, we all travel through various circumstances and challenges. Through it all God protects His children from danger, harm and destruction. Sometimes it is easy to slip if we are not careful but God watches over us, in fact the Psalmist talks about how God never sleeps and watches over His children. Reading this scripture brings us great encouragement and strength. It is one those verses that I meditate quite frequently upon and I receive great encouragement to know that God is watching over me. #godiswatchingoverus #godiswatching #godprotectshischildren #Godpr...

We all go through seasons of waiting in our life, waiting for our prayers to be answered, waiting for a miracle or a breakthrough. Waiting is no fun nor is it exciting but God brings us through a season of waiting. Too often there is a negative perception about waiting as we live in a fast world. We want things to happen according to our timetable and we want things to happen fast. But I wanna encourage you today and remind you that there is good in the waiting. It is in the waiting that we learn to be patient and it is in the waiting that God deals with our anger, impatience, frustration and disappointment. Why God brings us through a season of waiting? waiting help us to avoid mistakes in our life. Too often we rush into making decisions and sometimes those decisions may not be wise decisions when we look back. Waiting brings clarity in the midst of confusion. Too often there is confusion in our lives not knowing where to go or what direction we should head but God brings ...

English Christian Devotion on Psalm 126:5-6 by Pastor Job

In today's christian Devotion we find that the Psalmist here is talking about how those who sow in tears will reap with songs of joy. The bible is very clear about sowing and reaping, without sowing there will not be any reaping in our life. So those who sow in tears will reap with songs of joy! Sowing is not an easy and fun work. Particularly when we look at a farmer's life we can see this, it involves a lot of hard work. Sowing and reaping involves waiting as well, the farmer cannot expect the seeds that he has planted to grow and mature overnight expect that he has to wait for it's time.  But if we faithfully keep on sowing daily, there will be a season where we will reap the reward. When it is time to reap the reward, it will be a joyful time. The season of reaping will bring much abundant joy as our obedience and hard work pays off. Perhaps today you are walking in a season of tears in your life, I wanna encourage you today to continue to sow in obedience to...

Tamil Christian Devotion on Psalm 130:5-6 by Pastor Job

In Today's Christian Devotion, we find that the Psalmist here is expressing about how he is waiting on God for deliverance.  The Psalmist had confidence in God that God will surely deliver him. He paints a vivid picture about how a watchman waits for the morning sun while being in the dark in the following verse. The Psalmist put's his hope in God's word because God's word is unchanging and eternal. We all go through seasons of waiting in our life. Waiting is no fun and in fact we all try to avoid it if possible and we want to go straight to the deliverance and miracle. But why does God put us in a place of waiting? In fact it is in the waiting that we realize how valuable that miracle and the deliverance that God is about to do in our life. It is also in the waiting that we learn to depend on God instead of any other thing in our life. When we have come to a place of waiting in our life, it means that we have exhausted all the other options available and onl...
