Christian Devotion on Psalm 130:5-6 by Pastor Job

In Today's Christian Devotion, we find that the Psalmist here is expressing about how he is waiting on God for deliverance.  The Psalmist had confidence in God that God will surely deliver him. He paints a vivid picture about how a watchman waits for the morning sun while being in the dark in the following verse.

The Psalmist put's his hope in God's word because God's word is unchanging and eternal.

We all go through seasons of waiting in our life. Waiting is no fun and in fact we all try to avoid it if possible and we want to go straight to the deliverance and miracle.

But why does God put us in a place of waiting? In fact it is in the waiting that we realize how valuable that miracle and the deliverance that God is about to do in our life.

It is also in the waiting that we learn to depend on God instead of any other thing in our life. When we have come to a place of waiting in our life, it means that we have exhausted all the other options available and only God can help us now.

It is also in the waiting that we learn that God is never too late. Sometimes in life we want things to happen according to our timetable and we want it to happen fast but the reality is God has his own timing and God is always perfect on timing.

In fact His creation reveals how beautifully God has timed everything from the blossoming of a flower to the changing of a season.

So today if you are in a position of waiting in your life, I encourage you to wait patiently and trust in God to make your path straight.
